Dreamy Dark Chocolate Pie

This decadent dark Chocolate Pie is a chocoholic's dream! It is rich, creamy, and lusciously smooth. This is pie is very fashionable and should be enjoyed all year long. In the fall, it feels warm and satisfying. In the winter, it's decadence is cozy. In the spring, it's a lover's delight. And in the summer, it's playful and happy. This my husband's favorite chocolate pie all year! Try this one friends. If you love chocolate, this will not dissapoint.

Chill overnight, 24 hours ideal
Makes 8 servings

๐ŸŒธ Ingredients ๐ŸŒธ

๐ŸŒธ Method ๐ŸŒธ

  • In a medium sauce pot, mix the sugar, corn starch and salt.
  • Whisk in the milk and egg yolks.
  • Place over medium low heat and simmer until it starts to bubble. STIR CONTINUOUSLY
  • Once the mix bubbles, turn off the heat and remove the pot immediately.
  • Add the chocolate, butter, and vanilla extract to the hot mixture and stir until rich, dark and creamy.
  • Pour into the pie shell.
  • ***CHILL*** Be Patient to avoid a disaster!
    • Cool on the counter for 2 hours uncovered. 
    • Then place in the refrigerator to chill overnight, covered. 24 hours is ideal.
      • Make sure the cover does not touch the filling
